Wed, May 16, 2007 - 8:31 AMyour doing good. I will be taking my test for first gup in 2 months. I feel like I am just now getting somewhat proficient. At least now I am not ready to pass out by the end of class.

Thu, May 17, 2007 - 10:33 AMThanks! I wish you both skill and focus in the next few months. *smile*
I'm a helper with the children's class...little girls still out-spar me, but I'm working on not passing out after class, as well. *grin*

Re: Tang Soo Do
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 10:43 AMHello,
I trained privately in the mid 70's with Grandmaster Dr. Dae Shik Kim who was a 5th dan in TSD and was trained by the founder Hwang Kee in the late 40's. Dr. Kim was then 8th dan TKD, 5th Dan Kyokushinkai and 7th dan Yudo.....also 5th dan Aikijujitsu....what Dr. Kim taught me was a combination art...he later called and founded as Ho sin sul....he studied with the founders of all these systems...and was 3 time director of Mas Oyama's first 3 world championships and 4 times director of TKD (Kukkiwon) world championships...Dr. Kim passed away this Feb. then he was 10th dan Hapkido, 9th dan Kukkiwon TKD and 9th dan Yudo....I was Dr. Kim's senior student in US in 1977.
Oh, I started in the late 60's in Isshinryu.....shodan 1971.
